Family responsibility

Add information you have a reasonable basis to record. Mark uncertainty clearly, avoid presenting disputed memories as fact, and do not use Roots to harass, expose, or impersonate another person.

Account security

Keep your sign-in details private and report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Family roles must be granted only to trusted people.

Service changes

Roots is evolving. Features may change as the platform improves, but privacy boundaries and family access controls remain core commitments.
